Position Overview

Pharma Source Direct is seeking a driven, results-oriented Pharmaceutical Account Manager to expand our footprint in the compounding pharmacy market. In this role, you will manage and grow existing pharmacy accounts while proactively prospecting new business for our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) portfolio. The ideal candidate blends consultative B2B phone sales skills with strong industry acumen to position Pharma Source Direct as a trusted, primary supplier.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Growth & Retention: Manage a dedicated portfolio of compounding pharmacy accounts, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across our product catalog.

  • Outbound Business Development: Conduct targeted outbound calls to pharmacy decision-makers to qualify leads, pitch product offerings, and close new business.

  • Pipeline & Deal Management: Develop territory account plans, track sales cycles, negotiate pricing/margins, and consistently meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Track industry trends, supply availability, and competitor pricing to identify emerging product needs and provide actionable feedback to leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Support, Regulatory, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, accurate documentation, and resolution of customer inquiries.

  • CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline stages, quotes, and forecasts in CRM and ERP systems.

Qualifications

    Required:

  • 2+ years of B2B inside sales or account management experience, preferably in phone-based outbound sales.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate terms, and close deals in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Strong numerical reasoning skills for calculating margins, tiered volume pricing, percentages, and unit conversions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience working within a CRM platform.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation ability.

     Preferred:

  • Direct experience in pharmaceutical compounding, API sales, or chemical wholesale distribution.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Experience using Salesforce or proprietary inventory/distribution software.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Standard office environment based at our Englewood facility.

  • Primarily desk-based with substantial phone and computer usage.

  • Occasional travel (under 5%) for trade shows or major client meetings as needed.
